Our exciting class timetables are specifically designed to cater for all tastes and abilities. We have fantastic, purpose built, group exercise studios and spin studios and a strong team of expert women instructors bringing each class to life.
Together, these various Zumba® fitness elements provide exciting, rhythmical exercise routines that are great fun. It’s like a disco in a gym and with more than 1 million people in now enrolled in classes, Zumba® is one of the most popular physical activities for women in Britain today.
It started to take off in the early 1990s and has remained a permanent fixture in many gyms’ exercise class schedules ever since. As the name suggests, your typical LBT session features a number of exercise routines that specifically target the abdomen and lower body. It’s a fantastic option for those who want to tone up. This isn’t a gruelling programme that will help you to lose a lot of weight – you’ll generally burn somewhere between 250 and 400 calories during a one-hour session depending on how much effort you put in. The focus is very much on toning and tightening.
It’s a great workout for everyone; no matter what your fitness level is, there’s room for you. The instructor will encourage you to increase and decrease difficulty, and pedal faster, but these are all done at your own pace and within your own limits
